Microneedling Chicago

SkinPen Microneedling

Microneedling is a new innovation in aesthetic medicine for the treatment of the appearance of fine lines, acne scars, and the improvement of the skin’s texture, tone and color.

How does it work?

During the procedure, the SkinPen Microneedling is used to create micro-injuries to the skin in order to aid and enhance the production of collagen and elastin.  The SkinPen also creates micro-channels which allow creams, topical gels, and serums to be absorbed in the deeper layers of the skin making them much more effective. The repairing process from the procedure results in a thicker yet softer appearance of the skin.

How is the procedure done?

A cartridge containing 24 micro-points is attached to the SkinPen microneedling device. Your skincare professional will apply appropriate serum to your skin. The pen will then be gently pressed against the skin while gliding in one direction until the entire desired area has been covered. Due to to the speed of the reciprocating tip, the treatment is found to be more comfortable than previous microneedling machines.

Downtime & Results

Immediately after the treatment, you will notice redness to the skin. The healing time differs for each client however on average patients usually only experience redness for 2-4 days after the procedure.

Our clients notice an immediate glow to their skin. Visible changes develop over the course of several weeks and continuously approve up to 6 months post treatment.

Collagen Induction PIN Microneedling

Collagen induction Microneedling is a method of inducing a controlled injury into the skin’s dermal and epidermal junction which induces growth factors in collagen. The procedure enhances the skin’s cell growth making for a quick healing process and high rates of success. As our skin ages our collagen production naturally slows down. Through this procedure we are able to induce the production and speed up the regeneration of skin cells.

How does it work?

Your skincare professional will determine the best depth as well as speed to suit the patients skin concerns. She will then install a sterile, disposable needle cartridge holding 36 micro-needles that will glide across the skin causing micro-injury. Prior to the treatment there will be a numbing topical applied to the area which will result in very little to no pain at all.

Downtime & Results.

Much like the SkinPen, the downtime is virtually minimal with slight redness over the course of a few days. Client’s commonly see results 1-2 weeks after the treatment and a visible change in the skin in as little as a few days post treatment.
