Deep Pore Cleansing Facial

Deep pore cleansing facials are generally referred to as “traditional facials”. They include cleansing, steam, extractions, facial massage and facial masks. Deep poor cleansing facials target specific problems such as breakouts, dehydration, and fine lines. After this treatment, your skin will be glowing and clean. This facial treatment is recommended for anyone looking for an extreme clean.
Deep pore facials are extremely valuable in facial rejuvenation. Your Aesthetician will help to nourish your skin by stimulating blood circulation. Your muscle fibers will be toned, strengthened, and tightened by facial massage techniques. This technique helps to slow the aging process and minimize signs of aging.

Our variety of skin care products benefits different skin conditions. Facial cleansing begins with either a facial scrub, a mild facial exfoliant, or gentle cleansers. After the skin is cleansed, the exfoliation process begins. Exfoliating the skin helps to remove dead skin cells from the top layer of the skin, and unclog pores. We use mainly professional products that cannot be bought over the counter, and need a prescription to obtain.

Once the skin is exfoliated and the pores are open, we begin extractions. Extractions remove the blackheads and whiteheads from the pores. After we will calm the skin, as skin can become red and irritated following extractions.
Moisturizer and/or sun block is applied to finish the facial. Applying moisturizer helps to prevent any moisture loss from within. Sun block is applied because the top layer of skin has been gently removed and extra protection is vital.

For optimal results, it is important to maintain this regimen every 6 – 8 weeks.

PCA Chemical Peels

Chemical peel uses a chemical solution to improve and smooth the texture of the facial skin by removing its damaged outer layers. It is helpful for those individuals with facial blemishes, wrinkles and uneven skin pigmentation. Deciding if chemical peel is right for you Chemical peel is most commonly performed for cosmetic reasons — to enhance your appearance and your self confidence. Chemical peel may also remove pre-cancerous skin growths, soften acne facial scars and even control acne.

  • Alphahydroxy acids Glycolic, lactic, or fruit acids are the least harsh and produce light peels. These types of peels can provide smoother, brighter-looking skin. AHA peels may be used to treat fine wrinkling, areas of dryness, uneven pigmentation and acne. AHA peels may cause redness, irritation, stinging, and crusting. As the skin adjusts, however, these symptoms should cease.
  • Trichloroacetic acid (TCA) Most commonly used for medium-depth peeling. Fine surface wrinkles, surface blemishes and pigment troubles are commonly treated with TCA. With a TCA peel, your healed skin will be able to produce pigment as always; the peel will not bleach the skin. However, TCA-peel patients are advised to stay away from sun exposure for several months after treatment to shield the newly formed layers of skin.
  • Phenol The strongest of the chemical solutions, phenol is a deep chemical peel. It is used mainly to treat patients with coarse facial wrinkles, areas of blotchy or damaged skin caused by sun exposure, or pre-cancerous growths. Because phenol can lighten the treated areas, your skin pigmentation will be the determining factor as to if a phenol chemical peel is for you. Phenol is mainly used on the face, as using it on any other areas of the body can cause scarring.

Dermaplaning

Dermaplane is a highly effective treatment that removes the layer of vellous hair that often covers the face, commonly known as “peach fuzz”, which traps dirt and oil and can cause acne . It is commonly an alternative to waxing and depilatories for removing unwanted facial hair.

This treatment is also an excellent exfoliation for the face and gives the skin a smoother, gorgeous appearance immediately following the treatment. Make-up may be applied after treatment.

Facial hair returns slowly approximately in 4-6 weeks. The hair will not come back darker, instead lighter, finer and more sparse with each treatment.

Dermaplaning is also an effective exfoliation method for clients that have couperose (tiny blood vessels near the surface of the skin, rosacea, sensitive skin or allergies that prevent the use of microdermabrasion).

The treatment is very relaxing and gentle, there is no down time and you leave looking very fresh and radiant.

Massage

Massage

Massage is an ancient, medically-proven way to help the body heal itself while benefiting one’s mind. The benefits of massage address two modalities: therapeutic and psychological. The therapeutic approach can address joint stiffness, help strengthen the immune system, reduce swelling and excess scar tissue post surgery, relief from muscular spasms and/or sports injuries. The psychological approach can help reduce anxiety, improve stress levels, and provide relief from insomnia. With this combined approach, massage will restore balance to both the mind and body while helping maintain exceptional health and wellness. We also offer the option of aromatherapy, which will greatly enhance your experience.

Different types of massage can be selected to address the condition and needs of your body. Our highly trained certified therapists will customize a massage based on your needs.

Microdermabrasion

Microdermabrasion is a painless, noninvasive, skin-rejuvenation procedure using a combination of a fine abrasive tip or crystals and vacuum suction applied to the skin. Typically there are no needles or anesthetics required for microdermabrasion. The vacuum pressure and speed are adjusted depending on the sensitivity and tolerance of the skin. Microdermabrasion is often compared to the feeling of a cat licking your face, a rough but gentle texture. Typical microdermabrasion sessions can last anywhere from five to 60 minutes. Minimal to no recovery time is required after microdermabrasion and most people immediately return to daily activity after a session. Makeup and nonirritating creams can usually be applied right after microdermabrasion. Studies have shown that microdermabrasion can even facilitate the absorption of some topical medications through increasing the permeability of the skin.

Microdermabrasion works by removing a few of the top layers of the skin called the stratum corneum. Much like brushing your teeth, microderm helps to gently remove “plaque” and skin debris. Since human skin typically regenerates at approximately 30-day intervals, skin improvement with microdermabrasion is temporary and needs to be repeated at average intervals of two to four weeks for continued improvement. Multiple treatments in combination with sunscreen, sun avoidance, and other skin-care creams yield best results.

SKIN CARE TREATMENTS
Featured as a daily care product, PCA Skin Facial Wash gently works as both a non-irritating AHA and aloe gel cleanser that helps remove makeup while clearing the skin of environmental impurities. Facial Wash protects skin elasticity as well as maintain its natural pH balance to ease skin, leaving a soft and velvety smooth surface. Skin professional treatments are scientifically formulated to gently stimulate, firm and tighten skin. Ingredients such as alpha hydroxy acids( AHA), trichloroacetic acid (TCA), salicylic acid (BHA) and resorcinol work to break down surface buildup, while ancillary ingredients, such as retinoids, antioxidants and polyphenols, are incorporated into the formulas to flood the skin with these beneficial actives during treatment. These blends gently exfoliate dull, damaged surface layers and reveal smooth, radiant, glowing skin. These progressive in-office treatments work in conjunction with PCA SKIN daily care products to speed the process toward dramatic, visible results. Customize the perfect combination of PCA SKIN professional treatments and daily care products to dramatically improve skin function, leading to a more beautiful complexion.

Sun exposure, acne or just getting older can leave your skin tone uneven, wrinkled, spotted or scarred. If you want your skin to look smoother and younger, consider a chemical peel, which uses a chemical solution to smooth the texture of your skin by removing the damaged outer layers.

A PCA Chemical peel, also called chemoexfoliation or dermaPlanning, is one of the least invasive ways to improve the appearance of your skin. Although chemical peels are used mostly on the face, they can also be used to improve the skin on your neck and hands.

You can improve:

  • Acne or acne scars
  • Age and liver spots
  • Fine lines and wrinkles
  • Freckles
  • Irregular skin pigmentation
  • Rough skin and scaly patches
  • Scars
  • Sun-damaged skin
